Cricket nets lottery cash! (October 04, 2006)
More than £120,000 of lottery grants is being shared among 21 community groups across north west London.
Woodfield School in Kingsbury receives £4,700 to develop its cricket facilities.
The special needs school will use the money to move pupils to the hard-ball version of the game, buy a net and portable 'flexi-pitch'.
Deputy head Nick Cooper said: "We have been developing cricket from a playground sport and we now have some very talented players. We plan to invite pupils from other moderate learning difficulty schools in the area to develop a team."
